Jokowi undecided on national exams' moratorium
Muhadjir Effendy, Culture and Education Minister, has given a proposal to President Joko Widodo. The contain of that proposal is the president of Indonesia to conduct a moratorium on the national exams, but the proposal has not approved by Joko Widodo. Jokowi said that the proposal was still being processed and it had not been discussed in any Cabinet meetings.
He said a future Cabinet meeting that had yet to be scheduled would decide whether the proposal would be implemented or not. He added that If the national exams were still needed, as they needed to check the standard of education quality, they might still keep the exams. Muhadjir also said the moratorium on the national exams could be started next year.
I agree with Jokowi statement that national exam can check the standard of education quality. We can know which area has low quality of education and high quality of education, so that the government can pay more attention to those areas which has low quality of education.

Malaysia Protesters Demand PM Najib Razak Step Down
Thousands protesters have gathered in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Najib Razak. They all wore yellow shirt. They want Mr. Najib to face charges over allegations that billions were looted from his brainchild investment fund, 1MDB. But, Mr. Najib has denied it. He said that Bersih - the electoral reformist group which organized the protest - had become a tool for opposition parties to unseat a democratically elected government.
Mr. Najib’s accusations
were dismissed by Bersih deputy chair Shahrul Aman Shaari and said that they were not there to tear down the government, they were there to strengthen it. This is the second rally organised by
Bersih, which means "clean" in the Malay language, to demand Mr
Najib's resignation in 15 months, and comes after weeks of rising tension
between the "yellow shirts" and pro-government "red
shirts".

Cheetah trade: Nations to Suppress Social Media Enticement
The
world's fastest land mammal, cheetah, trafficked from Africa to the Middle
East. Buyers and sellers using social media to
connect each other and allowing new owners to show off
expensive purchases. Around 90%,
population of cheetah has decreased since 1900. They have
been trafficked out of Africa, with some 85% of them dying during the journey.
The
United Arab Emirates do some
actions like crack down on social media platforms. They said that they had already
targeted some of the biggest websites and had removed many advertisements. Ahmed al-Hashmi, director of
biodiversity at the UAE's Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, said that there is a new legislation which will regulate the owning of
endangered animals, so it says who is able to own them, like zoos or breeding canters,
but also regulates the registering of them by individuals.
I think the regulation should not allow individual to own
cheetah as their pet. Cheetah is endangered animal, if individual own them then
their population will decrease year by year. Individuals also need to take responsibility for
their action on the Internet.

Over 100 Children Among 338 Killed in Aleppo Attacks This Week, W.H.O. Says
WHO said heavy bombardment of the area by Russia and Syria had killed
338 people in the last week, including more than 100 children. The
government saying its fighters had captured more territory in northern parts of
the city and penetrated the center of Aleppo. They were clashing with the rebels. Rebel commanders denied and said that government
forces had not made any progress since capturing the Handarat refugee camp
north of the city.
Dr.
Brennan from
W.H.O said that eastern
Aleppo had eight working hospitals, but its two biggest medical centers came
under attack and no longer functioning. The
United Nations planed
for evacuations and identified hospitals in northern Syria that could receive
the wounded. But those plans have been held in abeyance because of the intense
fighting, the absence of assurances of safe passage and the lack of a green
light from the government.
Children
always become victims when there is a conflict between government and rebels. Children
are not safe anymore. They often misused for country problems. I think all the
institution should care with children safety, because they are our generation.
Libya: More than 100 families at risk of starvation in Benghazi
More
than 100 families in Libya are at risk of starving to death. Children in district
of Ganfouda, Benghazi become so thin. The area has been the focus of fighting
between Islamist militias and troops loyal to Libya's eastern government. But
there are still about 130 families living in Ganfouda. They are unable to
escape despite being desperate to leave, according to Amnesty International.
Mohammed, who still living in
Ganfouda, said that the electricity has been cut off for two years already, there
is no medicine and people are reduced to eating rotten food to survive. Moreover;
children look like skin and bones because of the lack of food and poor
nutrition.
The government of Libya should solve
this problem. This accident has big impact to the families who live in the area
of conflict. The big impact
threatened the families who live in Ganfouda, because they are no longer feel the freedm. They can
not get food easily and it was such a bad thing for children. They have poor
nutrition.
